Social Media Strategist

Sitewire seeks a motivated and experienced person to join our growing team of social media marketing professionals. We don't sit around and tweet about ourselves all day. We actively advise our clients on how they can add social components to their marketing plans to meet their goals and objectives.
No, we don't do spammy, short-term tactics to bring a bunch of disengaged bots to the conversation. And no, we don't see social channels as one more place to blast special offers and branding messages. We know that social is about conversations, content and community. But we also know that we must provide value -- tangible value -- to the clients we work with. That's why we've been around since 1999. We get it.
Do you? If your idea of good social media practices came from a book that was written four years ago, you're not quite ready for us. But if you're a marketing professional with a strategic eye and your pulse on the social world, we'd like to talk to you.
Maybe. If you meet these minimum requirements:
- 4 year degree in marketing/communications. Marketing is key.
- 2 years advertising/marketing agency experience. You should know our industry.
- Outstanding written communication skills. And not just in 140 characters or less.
- Eye-popping presentation-creation skills. Mastery of PowerPoint is required.
- Mind-blowing presenting skills. Speak with extreme confidence on what you know.
- Statistical and analytical competency. Pivot tables do not frighten you.
- Strategic thinker. Holistic, long-term vision is required.
- Tactical implementer. That big plan you just created? Go make it happen.
- Possess a natural curiosity about social and digital media. Early adopters wanted!
What would blow us away and make us beg you to come to work for us:
- Prior experience managing a Facebook community for a big company or brand.
- Involvement with Facebook development. Website integration, mobile, apps… doesn't matter.
- Prior experience with social media reporting and analytics, dashboards, sentiment monitoring
- Conceiving, developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated social media campaigns using at least three social channels
- Experience cogently presenting on the subject at conferences, seminars, or industry events.
Well-qualified individuals should provide the following:
- Craft a cover letter that speaks to ALL of the points above.
- Tailor your resume to show practical experience to MANY of the points above.
